Front Crankshaft Oil Seal: Installation

  1. INSTALL TIMING GEAR CASE OR TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL 
    1. Using SST, tap in a new oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain case edge

      SST 09223-22010,09506-35010 

      NOTE:
      • Keep the lip free from foreign matter.
      • Do not tap on the oil seal at an angle.
      • Do not install the oil seal excessively.

  2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY 
    1. Install the crankshaft timing gear key

  3. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY 
    1. Align the pulley set key with the key groove of the pulley, and slide on the pulley
    2. Using SST, install the pulley bolt.

      SST 09213-38010, 09330-00021 

      Torque: 330 N*m (3365 kgf*cm, 243 ft.*lbf) 

  4. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See INSTALLATION )

  7. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
