Rear Bumper: Removal

  1. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
  2. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
  3. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) 
  4. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)  (See REMOVAL )
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)  (See REMOVAL )
  7. REMOVE ROPE HOOK (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)  (See REMOVAL )
  8. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)  (See REMOVAL )
  9. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE SIDE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)  (See REMOVAL )
  12. REMOVE NO. 1 REAR BUMPER PLATE 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 rear bumper plate

      HINT.

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use
      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System.
      1. Disconnect the No. 3 luggage room wire connector

    2. Put protective tape around the rear bumper assembly
    3. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips
    4. Remove the 6 screws and 2 rear bumper seal brackets.

    5. Disengage the 6 claws and disconnect the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration

      HINT.

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    6. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the rear bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

    7. w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System:
      1. Disengage the clamp and remove the grommet
