Inspection Procedure

1. Disconnect the TCM connector.
2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

   Standard resistance 

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E88-24 (SL) - Body ground	Always	11 to 15 Ω

NG :  Go to step  3

OK : Go to next step 

1. Replace the TCM (see REMOVAL  ).

NEXT : PERFORM A/T CODE REGISTRATION  (See REGISTRATION  )

1. Disconnect the transmission wire connector.
2. Disconnect the TCM connector.
3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard resistance 

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E105-7 (SL) - E88-24 (SL)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E105-7 (SL) or E88-24 (SL) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK : Go to next step 

1. Remove the shift solenoid valve SL (see DISASSEMBLY  ).
2. Measure the resistance of the shift solenoid valve.

   Standard resistance 

   TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   Shift solenoid valve SL connector - Shift solenoid valve SL Body	20°C (68°F)	11 to 15 Ω

3. Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid valve connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body. Then check that the valve moves and makes an operating sound.

   OK: 

   Valve moves and makes operating sound. 

NG : REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL  (See DISASSEMBLY  )

OK : REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE  (See REMOVAL  )
