Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK COMBINATION METER (POWER SOURCE SYSTEM) 
    1. Disconnect the K31 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K31-20 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K31-1 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V
      K31-21 - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      K31-22 - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK : Go to next step 

  2. CHECK COMBINATION METER (AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SYSTEM) 
    1. Disconnect the K31 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K31-36 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG : Go to step 3

    OK : REPLACE COMBINATION METER 

  3. CHECK AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the V34 automatic light control sensor connector.
    2. Disconnect the K31 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K31-36 - K31-18 Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK : REPLACE AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR
