DTC P3226-562 DC/DC Boost Converter Temperature Sensor; DTC P3226-563 DC/DC Boost Converter Temperature Sensor: Description
The MG ECU located in the w/ converter inverter assembly uses the temperature sensor that is built into the w/ converter inverter assembly to detect the boost converter temperature. The inverter cooling system is the same as that for the Motor or Generator, and operates independently of the engine cooling system. The MG ECU limits the load based on signals sent from the boost converter temperature sensor in order to check the effect of the inverter cooling system and prevent overheating. The ECU also detects malfunctions in the boost converter temperature sensor.
