Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (VOLTAGE CHECK) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      AS1G (H32-34) - AS1 (H32-27) 2.3 to 3.1 V

    NG: GO TO step   4

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CLEAR DTC (HV) 
    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    3. Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CLEAR CODES.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. RECONFIRM OUTPUT DTCS (HV) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CURRENT CODES.
    3. Read output DTCs. (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )

      Result: 

      P3137-348 and P3138-349 are output. 

    NO: CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 

    YES: REPAIR HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU 

  4. INSPECT CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR NO.1 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Disconnect the C17 circuit breaker sensor No.1 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      SIF- (C17-1) - SIF+ (C17-2) 0.65k to 1.0 kΩ at 20°C (68°F)

    NG: REPLACE CIRCUIT BREAKER SENSOR NO.1

    OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
