Inspection Procedure

1. Disconnect the H29 connector from the HV control ECU.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below when the ignition switch is off.

   Standard Voltage 

   TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   ST2 (H29-20) - Body ground	Below 1 V

OK: GO TO step   3

NG: Go to next step 

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the I14 ignition switch connector.
3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage 

   TESTER CONNECTION AND SPECIFIED CONDITION
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   ST2 (H29-20) or ST2 (I14-8) - Body ground	Below 1 V

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
3. Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / OBD / MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CLEAR CODES.

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position again and leave the vehicle as it is for approximately 5 seconds.
3. Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CURRENT CODES.
4. Read output DTC. (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )

   OK: DTC P0617-142 is output again. 

NO: CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS 

YES: REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
