REAR POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): Inspection

  1. INSPECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Check operation of the rear seat adjuster.
      1. Check if the rear seat adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

        OK 

        REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

        Measurement Condition Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → 13
        Battery negative {-) → 9
        Forward
        Battery positive (+) → 9
        Battery negative (-) → 13
        Backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat adjuster.

  2. INSPECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

    1. Check operation of the rear seat adjuster.
      1. Check if the rear seat adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

        OK 

        REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

        Measurement Condition Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → 9
        Battery negative (-) → 13
        Forward
        Battery positive (+) → 13
        Battery negative (-) → 9
        Backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear seat adjuster.

  3. INSPECT REAR SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Check operation of the seatback spring.
      1. Check if the seatback spring moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

        OK 

        REAR SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY LH

        Measurement Condition Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → 2
        Battery negative (-) → 1
        Forward
        Battery positive (+) → 1
        Battery negative (-) → 2
        Backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seatback spring.

  4. INSPECT REAR SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Check operation of the seatback spring.
      1. Check if the seatback spring moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

        OK 

        REAR SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY RH

        Measurement Condition Operational Direction
        Battery positive (+) → 1
        Battery negative (-) → 2
        Forward
        Battery positive (+) → 2
        Battery negative (-) → 1
        Backward

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seatback spring.

  5. INSPECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Check the operation of the headrest adjuster. If the result not as specified, replace the headrest adjuster.
      1. Check if the adjuster moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the headrest adjuster connector terminals.

        OK 

        REAR NO. 1 SEAT HEADREST ADJUSTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → 5 (HUP)
        Battery negative (-) → 1 (HDWN)
        Upward
        Battery positive (+) → 1 (HDWN)
        Battery negative (-) → 5 (HUP)
        Downward
