REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): Installation

CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring, seat adjuster and seat cushion spring may injure your hands.

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH
1. Install the seatback adjuster with the 4 nuts.
  Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
1. Install the seat adjuster with the 4 bolts and the nut.
  Torque:
  
  20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
  
  42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) for bolt A
  
  NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
  Install the air duct to the vehicle body.
INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
HINT:

Use the same procedures described for the No. 1 seat adjuster.
INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY CENTER
1. Connect the connector.

2. Install the seatback center with the 2 bolts and nut.
  Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
3. Attach the hook to the wire. Then attach the 2 clips to install the rear seat armrest hole board.

4. While pressing the button, lower the headrest.
5. Raise the center armrest.

INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH
1. Connect the seatback assembly to the seatback adjuster, and press down on the seatback assembly to install it to the seatback adjuster. Then connect the air duct to the vehicle.
2. Install the seatback assembly to the seat cushion adjuster with the 2 nuts.
  Torque: 20 N*m (204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
  
  NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
3. Attach the seatback's upper rear side clip, and attach the fastening tape.

4. Connect the connector and wire harness clamps.

5. Connect the 3 connectors.

6. Install the junction block with the bolt.
7. Connect the seat belt anchor and install the bolt.
  Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf)

8. Install the seat belt to the seat belt guide.

9. Attach the 2 claws.

INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY CENTER
1. Attach the hook and install the seat cushion.
  NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

1. Install the seat cushion.
  NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
2. w/ Climate Control Seat System: Connect the connector.
3. Attach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion to the seat cushion adjuster.

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH (See INSTALLATION )
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
  NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
INSPECT REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY
1. Check the power seat operation (see OPERATION CHECK ).
2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:
  Check the climate control seat system (see OPERATION CHECK ).
