Spiral Cable: Removal
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting cable to prevent the airbag deployment.
- PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STEERING PAD (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
For Manual Tilt (See REMOVAL )
For Power Tilt and Power Telescopic (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE STEERING COLUMN COVER
For Manual Tilt (See REMOVAL )
For Power Tilt and Power Telescopic (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
- Disconnect the connectors from the spiral cable with steering sensor.NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
- Disengage the 3 claws and remove the spiral cable with steering sensor.
- Disconnect the connectors from the spiral cable with steering sensor.
- SEPARATE SPIRAL CABLE
- Disengage the 6 claws and separate the spiral cable.
