Spiral Cable: Inspection

  1. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE 
    1. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the spiral cable with a new one:

      Scratches, cracks, dents or chips on the connector or the spiral cable.

    2. Inspect the spiral cable.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance 

        SPIRAL CABLE RESISTANCE

        Tester connection Condition Specified condition
        k1-1 - m1-2 Center Below 1 Ω
        2.5 rotations to the left
        2.5 rotations to the right
        k1-1- J24-8 (HO) Center Below 1 Ω
        2.5 rotations to the left
        2.5 rotations to the right
        k1-2 - J24-9 (SUP) Center Below 1 Ω
        2.5 rotations to the left
        2.5 rotations to the right
        k1-3 - J24-10 (SDN) Center Below 1 Ω
        2.5 rotations to the left
        2.5 rotations to the right
        M-4 - J24-11 (DIST) Center Below 1 Ω
        2.5 rotations to the left
        2.5 rotations to the right
        k1-5 - J24-12 (IL+2) Center Below 1 Ω
        2.5 rotations to the left
        2.5 rotations to the right
        k1-6 - m1-4 Center Below 1 Ω
        2.5 rotations to the left
