FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): Removal

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  2. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER 
    1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the seat track bracket cover outer front LH.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER 
  4. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER 
    1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front seat track cover rear outer LH.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK COVER 
  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts on the front seat track bracket.

    3. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the position farthest forward.
    4. Remove the 2 bolts on the rear seat track bracket.

    5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
      CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent the airbag and seat belt pretensioner from deploying (See AIRBAG SYSTEM ).
    6. Disconnect the connectors under the seat. Then remove the seat.
