Installation (2006/02-2006/07)

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH and RH side.

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Place the seat in the cabin.
    2. Connect the connectors under the seat.
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    4. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.
    5. Install the 2 bolts on the rear side of the seat.

      Torque: 36.8 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      Tighten the 2 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

    6. Attach the 4 claws to install the seat track bracket cover rear inner and outer.
    7. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the rearmost position.
    8. Install the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.

      Torque: 36.8 N*m (375 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      Tighten the 2 bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

    9. Attach the 4 claws to install the seat track bracket cover front inner and outer.
  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Operate the power seat switch knob and move the seat to the foremost position.
    2. Move the seat using the power seat switch knob so that the seat belt anchor bolt is revealed.
    3. Install the front seat outer belt anchor with the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

    4. Install the seat belt anchor cover cap.
    5. Install the front seat belt hole cover.

  3. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION (2006/02-2006/07) ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  4. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM (2006/02-2006/07) ).
  5. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check the power seat operation.
    2. Check the seat heater operation (with seat heater).
      1. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
      2. Turn the seat heater switch ON.
      3. Wait 5 minutes or more and confirm that the seat surface becomes warm.
