Drive Belt: Removal

  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET 
    1. Remove the bolt and air cleaner inlet.
  4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT 
    1. Rotate the tensioner pulley counterclockwise to loosen the belt tension. Then remove the V-ribbed belt.
      NOTE:
      • The pulley bolt for the belt tensioner has a left-handed thread.
      • Do not perform this procedure from underneath the vehicle, as the tensioner may be damaged.

    2. Insert the 5 mm hexagon wrench into the hole to fix the belt tensioner.
