Roof Headlining ASSY: Replacement

HINT:

  1. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER RETRACTOR SUB-ASSY 
  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LH (W/3RD SEAT) (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT RH (W/3RD SEAT) (See  OVERHAUL  ) 
  4. REMOVE NO. 3 SEAT LEG COVER NO. 2 (W/3RD SEAT) 
  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LOCK ASSY LH (W/3RD SEAT) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and seat lock.

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LOCK ASSY RH (W/3RD SEAT) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and seat lock.
  7. REMOVE SEAT ANCHOR RAIL NO. 4 (W/3RD SEAT) 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 covers, 2 bolts and anchor rail.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  8. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 
  9. REMOVE DECK BOARD SUB-ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and the deck board sub-assy.
  10. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and the deck board assy.

  11. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT SUPPORT PLATE REAR 
    1. Remove the 5 bolts and mat support plate.

  12. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claws and remove the cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the bolt, deck floor box and luggage hold belt striker.

  13. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE DECK TRIM COVER REAR 
    1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the trim cover.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  15. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD UPR LH 
    1. Remove the screw and side board.
  16. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD UPR RH 
    1. Remove the screw and side board.
  17. REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOX ASSY LH 
    1. Remove the screw and side trim box.
  18. REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOX ASSY RH 
    1. Remove the screw and side trim box.
  19. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE INSIDE LH (W/3RD SEAT) 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and covers.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and scuff plate.

  20. REMOVE QUARTER SCUFF PLATE INSIDE RH (W/3RD SEAT) 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  21. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw labeled A, claw labeled B, 2 claws labeled C and claw labeled D. Remove the scuff plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  22. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw labeled A, claw labeled B, 4 claws labeled C, claw labeled D and claw labeled E. Remove the scuff plate.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  25. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 
    1. Remove the cap nut.
    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the trim board.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  26. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  27. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  28. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  29. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  30. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  31. REMOVE DECK TRIM COVER REAR 
  32. REMOVE REAR FLOOR CARPET ASSY 
  33. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSY LH 
    1. Remove the screw and deck trim cover.
    2. Remove the 3 screws and clips.
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 clips and remove the side panel.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  34. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  35. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSY LH (W/3RD SEAT) 
    1. Remove the bolt and 3 screws.
    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the 5 clips and side panel.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  36. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSY RH (W/3RD SEAT) 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  37. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER LH 
    1. Remove the screw and tonneau cover hook.
    2. Remove the 3 bolts and clip.
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 9 clips and remove the side garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  38. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  39. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER LH (W/3RD SEAT) 
    1. Remove the rear No. 2 shoulder anchor bolt.
    2. Remove the 3 screws, disengage the 4 clips labeled A and 5 clips labeled B.
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the side garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  40. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER RH (W/3RD SEAT) 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  41. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 claws labeled A and 2 claws labeled B. Remove the 2 clips and pillar garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  42. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  43. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER LH 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the front seat outer belt (floor anchor side).
    2. Remove the 2 bolts.
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 6 claws and clip, and remove the pillar garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  44. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH UPPER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  45. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 assist grip plugs.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw. Remove the clip labeled A, clip labeled B and pillar garnish.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Pull the garnish upward, and remove the pillar garnish from the instrument panel.
    5. w/Curtain shield airbag:

      Protect the curtain shield airbag LH.

      1. Thoroughly cover the airbag with cloth or nylon of 700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) and fix the ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in Fig 16.
        NOTE: Cover the curtain shield airbag with the protection cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

  46. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  47. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY 
  48. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSY 
    1. Using a molding remover, disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the map lamp switch connector and sliding roof switch connector, and remove the console box.

  49. REMOVE ROOM LAMP ASSY NO. 1 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the room lamp lens.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 covers.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Remove the No. 1 roof wire from the claw of the room lamp.
    5. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the room lamp switch base and the room lamp.

  50. w/RSE: 

    REMOVE DOME LAMP ASSY AND TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSY (SEE  TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSY  ) 

  51. REMOVE LH VISOR ASSY 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and visor assy.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and visor sub-assy.

  52. REMOVE RH VISOR ASSY 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  53. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER 
    1. Remove the screw and visor holder.
  54. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSY 
    1. Disengage the 4 clips and remove the headlining.

  55. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSY 
    1. Align the marking, and then install the wire harness with tape.

      HINT:

      Be careful for dirt or foreign objects not to stick to the adhered part when peeling off the double-stick tape.

    2. Attach the roof wire harness along the adhered part.
      NOTE: Roof wire harness should be attached securely.
    3. Install the roof headlining with the 4 clips.
