Valve Body Assembly: Removal

  1. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (See step 6 in  REMOVAL   ) 
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY (See step 19 in  REMOVAL   ) 
  3. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY (See step 3 in  REMOVAL   ) 
  4. REMOVE VALVE BODY OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY (See step 4 in  REMOVAL   ) 
  5. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (See step 5 in  REMOVAL   ) 
  6. REMOVE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 20 bolts and valve body.

    2. Separate the lever pin from the manual valve.
      NOTE:
      • Do not remove the check ball and each piston.
      • Cover the valve body with a plastic bag, etc. to prevent dust or trash from entering.

    3. Remove the check ball body and spring.
    NOTE: Do not drop the check ball body and spring.
