Transmission Control Switch: Inspection

INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH

Connect the park/neutral position switch connector.
Disconnect the transmission control switch connector of the shift lock control unit assembly.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH .

Standard resistance

TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH

Shift Position	Tester Connection	Specified Condition
S, "+" and "-"	3 - 7	Below 1 ohms
Except S, "+" and "-"	3 - 7	10 k ohms or higher

If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the transmission control switch.
