Inspection Procedure

- The shift solenoid valve SR is turned on/off normally when the shift lever is in the D position:

- INSPECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (SR)
- Disconnect the transmission wire connector from the transmission.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TRANSMISSION WIRE (SR) .
Standard resistance
TRANSMISSION WIRE (SR)Tester Connection Specified Condition 20°C (68°F) 6 - Body ground 11 to 15 ohms NG: GO TO STEP 3
OK: Go To Next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM)
- Connect the transmission connector to the transmission.
- Disconnect the connector from the ECM.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in TRANSMISSION WIRE - ECM .
Standard resistance

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE ECM
- INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SR
- Remove the shift solenoid valve SR.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SR
.
Standard resistance
SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SRTester Connection Specified Condition 20°C (68°F) Solenoid Connector (SR) - Solenoid Body (SR) 11 to 15 ohms - Connect the positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body.
OK:
The solenoid makes an operating sound.
NG: REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SR
OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE
