Fuel Pressure Pulsation Damper: Installation

  1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER 
    1. Install 2 new gaskets, the fuel tube and fuel pressure pulsation damper to the fuel pump.
    2. Using SST, tighten the fuel pressure pulsation damper to the fuel pump.

      SST 09612-24014 (09617-24011) 

      Torque: 40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT:

      The torque shown above should be used for tightening without using SST. When the SST is used for tightening, the torque should be calculated based on the length of the SST (See REPAIR INSTRUCTION ).

  2. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (See INITIALIZATION ).

      HINT:

      Certain systems need to be initialized after reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
