DTC B2272 Ignition 1 Monitor Malfunction: Wiring Diagram

  1. INSPECT FUSE (ECU-IG RH) 
    1. Remove the ECU-IG RH fuse from the cowl side J/B RH.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance: Below 1 Ω 

    NG : REPLACE FUSE 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COWL SIDE J/B RH - POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the RD J/B connector.
    2. Disconnect the J55 ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection (Symbols) Specified Condition
      RD-6 - J55-34 (IG1D) Below 1 Ω
      RD-5 or RD-7 - Body ground Below 1 Ω
      RD-6 or J55-34 (IG1D) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG : REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK : GO TO NEXT STEP 

  3. CHECK COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK RH (RH-IG1 RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the RN J/B connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the J/B connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      RN-1 - RD-14 When battery voltage is not applied to terminals RD-6 and RD-5 or RD-7 10 kΩ or higher
      RN-1 - RD-14 When battery voltage is applied to terminals RD-6 and RD-5 or RD-7 Below 1 Ω

      Result

    B : PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    C : REPLACE POWER SOURCE CONTROL ECU 

    A : REPLACE COWL SIDE J/B RH
