DTC C1223/43 ABS Control System Malfunction: Description

This DTC is output when the VSC system detects a malfunction in the ABS control system.

NOTE:
When replacing the skid control ECU, perform zero point calibration (See CALIBRATION
).
- CHECK ABS CONTROL SYSTEM
- Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Check if the same DTC is recorded (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
Result
CONDITION CHARTCondition Proceed to DTC (ABS control system DTC) is not output A DTC (ABS control system DTC) is output B (See FAIL-SAFE CHART )
B : REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC
A : GO TO NEXT STEP
- RECONFIRM DTC
- Clear the DTC (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Check if the same DTC is recorded (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
).
