FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): Disassembly

  1. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB (for Driver Seat) 
    1. Remove the snap ring and the vertical seat adjuster knob.

  2. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (for Driver Seat) 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws and remove the vertical seat adjuster knob cap.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE (for Driver Seat) 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and vertical adjusting handle.

  4. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE 
    1. Lift the reclining adjuster release handle.
    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.

      HINT:

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD (for Driver Seat) 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the claw and clamp and remove the seat cushion shield.

  6. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the 2 claws and clip then remove the front inner seat cushion shield.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Passenger seat only:
      1. Separate the belt warning occupant detection sensor.

    2. Disengage the 2 hooks.

    3. Disengage the hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover with pad.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER 
    1. Remove the hog rings.

    2. Remove the hog rings and front seat cushion cover.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Cut off the tack pins that fasten the seat heater, and then remove the front seat cushion heater assembly from the seat cushion cover.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Open the 2 zippers and seatback cover.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support.
  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD 
    1. Remove the hog rings and disengage the hooks.

    2. Remove the nut and separate the bracket.
    3. Remove the front seatback cover with pad.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT BACK COVER 
    1. Remove the hog rings and front separate type seat back cover.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) 
    1. Cut off the tack pins that fasten the seat heater, and then remove the front seat cushion heater assembly from the seat cushion cover.

  16. REMOVE SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Disengage the claw and remove the seat reclining adjuster inside cover LH.
  17. REMOVE SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the screw and reclining adjuster inside cover LH.
  19. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  20. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the front lower seat cushion shield LH.
  21. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  22. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Seat)

  23. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER SPACER (for Driver Seat) 
    1. Disengage the clip and remove the vertical adjuster spacer.

  24. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Detach the claw and remove the seat position sensor protector.
    3. Using a T30 "torx" socket, remove the "torx" bolt and seat position sensor.
