(Door / Hatch): Hood: Adjustment

HINT:

  1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY (See Step 3 im  REMOVAL  ) 
  3. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) (See Step 4 in  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Horizontally and vertically adjust the hood.
      1. Disengage the 2 clamps and claw, and remove the hood hinge cover LH.

      2. Disengage the 2 clamps, and remove the hood hinge cover RH.

      3. Loosen the hood's 4 hinge bolts.

      4. Move the hood and adjust the clearance between the hood and front fender.
      5. Tighten the hood's 4 hinge bolts after the adjustment.

        Torque: 13 N*m (133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Adjust the height of the hood front end using the cushion rubber.
      1. Adjust the cushion rubber so that the height of the hood and fender are aligned.

        HINT:

        Raise or lower the hood's front end by turning the cushion rubber.

    3. Adjust the hood lock.
      1. Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

        HINT:

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      2. Loosen the 2 bolts and hood lock nut.
      3. Tighten the bolts and nut after the adjustment.

        Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

      4. Adjust the hood lock position so that the striker can enter it smoothly.
      5. Install a new cap.
  5. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  6. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY 
  7. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See Step 89 in  INSTALLATION  ) 
  8. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) (See  ADJUSTMENT  ) 
  9. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIM (See  ADJUSTMENT  ) 
  10. PREPARATION FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING (See Step 2 in  ADJUSTMENT  ) 
  11. FOG LIGHT AIMING INSPECTION (See Step 3 in  ADJUSTMENT  ) 
  12. FOG LIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT (See Step 4 in  ADJUSTMENT  )
