Valve Body Assembly: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  2. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (see   4  ) 
  3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE NO.1 SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY (see   11  ) 
  4. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY (see   9  ) 
  5. REMOVE VALVE BODY OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY (see   10  ) 
  6. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION WIRE (see   6  ) 
  7. REMOVE TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 20 bolts and valve body.

    2. Separate the lever pin from the manual valve.
      NOTE:
      • Do not remove the check ball and each piston.
      • Cover the valve body with a plastic bag, etc. to prevent dust or trash from intruding.

    3. Remove the check ball body and spring.
      NOTE: Do not drop the check ball body and spring.
