Inspection Procedure

READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (MASTER CYLINDER PRESSURE SENSOR)
1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
2. Start the engine.
3. Select the DATA LIST mode on the hand-held tester.
4. Check that the brake fluid pressure value of the master cylinder pressure sensor observed in the hand-held tester changes when the brake pedal is depressed.
  OK:
  
  Brake fluid pressure value changes.
1. OK: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP.
INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU TERMINAL VOLTAGE (STP TERMINAL)
1. Disconnect the brake actuator connector.
2. Measure the voltage between terminal STP of the skid control ECU and body ground when brake pedal is depressed.
  OK:
  
  Voltage: 8 to 14 V
3. Measure the voltage between terminal STP of the skid control ECU and body ground when brake pedal is released.
  OK:
  
  Voltage: 1 V or less

1. NG: CHECK AND REPLACE STOP LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
2. OK: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
