VSV For Canister Closed Valve (CCV): Inspection

  1. REMOVE VSV 
  2. INSPECT VSV FOR OPEN CIRCUIT 

    Using an ohmmeter, check that there is a continuity between the terminals.

    Resistance: 24 - 30 Ωat 20°C (68°F) 

    If there is no continuity, replace VSV.

  3. INSPECT VSV FOR GROUND 

    Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between each terminal and the body.

    If there is a continuity, replace VSV.

  4. INSPECT VSV OPERATION 
    1. Check that air flows from the ports A to B.

    2. Apply the battery positive voltage across the terminals.
    3. Check that air does not flow from the ports A to B.

    If operation is not as specified, replace VSV.

  5. REINSTALL VSV
