Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (D-IG, MPX-B2) 
    1. Check that continuity exists of D-IG fuse.
    2. Check that continuity exists of MPX-B2 fuse.
    1. NG: REPLACE FUSE 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Check voltage.
    1. Disconnect the "C8" connector from combination meter.
    2. Measure voltage between terminal B of combination meter connector and body ground.

      Voltage: 10-14V 

    3. Turn ignition switch ON.
    4. Measure voltage between terminals IG+, B of combination meter connector and body ground.

      Voltage: 10-14V

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: GO TO STEP   3 . 
  3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY (GROUND CIRCUIT) 
    1. Check continuity.
    1. Disconnect the "C8" connector from combination meter.
    2. Check continuity between terminal ES of combination meter connector and body ground.

      OK: Continuity exists

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY
