Front Door (Exterior Body Panels): Adjustment

HINT:

Use the same procedures on the RH side as on the LH side.
Since a centering bolt is used as a door hinge mounting bolt on the body side and the door side, the door can not be adjusted with them on. Substitute a bolt with a washer for the centering bolt.

INSPECT FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSY LH

Check that the clearance is within the standard range.

Standard range:

CLEARANCE STANDARD RANGE

A	4.5 +/- 1.0 mm (0.177 +/- 0.039 in.)
B	5.1 +/- 1.5 mm (0.201 +/- 0.059 in.)
C	4.8 +/- 1.5 mm (0.189 +/- 0.059 in.)
D	4.5 +/- 1.0 mm (0.177 +/- 0.039 in.)

ADJUST FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSY LH
1. Using SST, horizontally and vertically adjust the door by loosening the body side hinge bolts.
  SST 09812-00010, 09812-00020
2. Tighten the body side hinge bolts after the adjustment.
  Torque: 26 N.m (265 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)

3. Adjust the door forward/rearward and vertically by loosening the door side hinge bolts.
4. Tighten the door side hinge bolts after the adjustment.
  Torque: 26 N.m (265 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)

5. Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws and hitting the striker with a plastic-faced hammer.
6. Tighten the striker mounting screws after the adjustment. Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf.cm, 17 ft.lbf)
