Air Bag Sensor Front LH: Replacement

HINT:
Replacement procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.
- (See PRECAUTION )
- DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL (See SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM )
- REMOVE AIR BAG SENSOR FRONT LH
- Remove the 2 bolts and the airbag sensor front LH.
- Disconnect the connector from the airbag sensor front LH.
- INSTALL AIR BAG SENSOR FRONT LH
- Check that the ignition switch is OFF.
- Check that the battery negative (-) terminal is disconnected.NOTE: Do not start the operation for 90 seconds after removing the terminal.
- Install the airbag sensor front LH with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 12.5 N.m (127 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf)
NOTE:- Installation of the connector is performed with the airbag sensor front LH installed. Make sure the airbag sensor front LH is installed with the specified torque.
- If the airbag sensor front LH has been dropped, or there are cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace the airbag sensor front LH with a new one.
- When installing the airbag sensor front LH, take care that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and is not pinched between other parts.
- Connect the connector to the airbag sensor front LH.
- Check that no play is identified.
- INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
