Inspection Procedure

HINT:
Start the inspection from step 1 if you are using the hand-held tester and start from step 2 if you are not using the hand-held tester.
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER (VSC WARNING LIGHT)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Select the item "VSC WARN LIGHT" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the VSC warning light with the hand-held tester.
- Check that "ON" and "OFF" of the VSC warning light is shown on the combination meter by the hand-held tester.
- OK: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
- NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT VSC WARNING LIGHT (See
COMBINATION METER
)
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - SKID CONTROL ECU)
- Check for an open or short circuit in harness and connector between the combination meter and skid control ECU (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (See REPLACEMENT )
