Inspection Procedure

INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSY
(REFERENCE) INSPECTION USING OSCILLOSCOPE
1. Check the input signal waveform.
  1. Remove the combination meter assy.
  2. Connect the oscilloscope to the terminals C9-9 and C11-13 of combination meter connector.
  3. Start engine.

  4. Check the signal waveform.

1. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY
2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP.
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN ECM AND COMBINATION METER ASSY)
1. Remove the combination meter assy.
2. Disconnect the connector from ECM.
3. Check the continuity between terminals 5 (TACH) of engine ECU and C11-13 of combination meter connector (See TERMINALS OF ECU .
Standard: There is continuity.
1. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE ECM
2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP.
  REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
