Seat Heater: Installation

CAUTION: Do not substitute other metal part in place of tack pins. Insufficient distance between the heater and cover may result in damage to the heater.
  1. Seat Cushion Cover -  Install a new seat heater.
    • Set a new seat heater (face the marked side (part number) to the seat cushion cover). See Fig 1.
    • For part "A", position the seat heater by aligning the end of the fin with the fold line of the listing pocket.
    • For part "B", position the seat heater by aligning the outline of the fin with the seat cushion cover's seam.
    • For part "C", position the seat heater by aligning the fin with the seat cushion cover's seam.
    • NOTE: Attach tack pins on the seam side so that the wire can be threaded through the hole from the fold side.
NOTE: Sewing thread can be substituted for tack pins. However, allow a distance of 0.24-0.28 in. (6-7 mm) between both sewed parts of the heater and cover.
    • Using a tacker (Banzai 303XT or equivalent), attach the tack pins to the side of the seat heater in the order from 1-12 and then attach the center part with a tack pin. For mark "a", align the fins of the seat heater against the cover's seam and attach them at the margin with tack pins. For mark "b", align the end of the fin with the fold line of the listing pocket and attach them with tack pins.
  2. Seatback Cover -  Install a new seat heater.
    • Set a new seat heater (face the marked side (part number) to the seat cushion cover). See Fig 2.
    • For part "A", position the seat heater by aligning the end of the fin with the fold line of the listing pocket.
    • Using a tacker (Banzai 303XT or equivalent), attach the seat heater to the seatback cover. For part "B" attach tack pins to the margin of the velcro.
  3. NOTE: Pass the wire over the seat heater.
  4. Install the 6 seat wires to the seat cushion cover and seatback. See Figure.
  5. Reverse the seat cover back to it's original position.
  6. Install the seatback cover and seat cushion cover. See reassembly of FRONT SEAT .
  7. Install the front seat. See Installation of FRONT SEAT .
