Power Seat Operation (Driver Seat)
Current is always applied to terminal SYSB and terminal +B of the power seat ECU so that power seat ECU is always ready to operate.
When the power seat control switch is pushed to the FRONT SLIDE position side, a signal is input into terminal SLDF of the power seat ECU, the ECU operates and the current to terminal +B of the power seat ECU flows from terminal SLD+ of the power seat ECU to terminal No. 1 of the power seat motor (driver seat slide control) to motor to terminal No. 2 to terminal SLD- of the power seat ECU to terminal GND to ground, rotating the power seat motor so that the seat slides forward while the power seat control switch is being pressed.
To slide the driver seat to the rear, pushing the power seat control switch to the REAR SIDE position side inputs a signal to terminal SLDR of the power seat ECU. This causes the current flowing from the ECU to the motor to flow from terminal SLD- of the power seat ECU to terminal No. 2 of the power seat motor (driver seat slide control) to motor to terminal No. 1 to terminal SLD+ of the power seat ECU to terminal GND to ground, flowing in reverse to front slide operation and causing the motor to rotate in reverse, so that the driver seat moves to the rear.
The movement to other positions occurs similarly, so only the flow of the current to each motor is shown:
- Front Vertical Control Up Operation - Terminal +B of the power seat ECU to terminal FRV+ to terminal No. 1 of the power seat motor (driver seat front vertical control) to motor to terminal No. 2 to terminal FRV- of the ECU to terminal GND to ground.
- Front Vertical Control Down Operation - Terminal +B of the power seat ECU to terminal FRV- to terminal No. 2 of the power seat motor (driver seat front vertical control) to motor to terminal No. 1 to terminal FRV+ of the ECU to terminal GND to ground.
- Rear Vertical Control Up Operation - Terminal +B of the power seat ECU to terminal LFT+ to terminal No. 2 of the power seat motor (driver seat rear vertical control) to motor to terminal No. 1 to terminal LFT- of the ECU to terminal GND to ground.
- Rear Vertical Control Down Operation - Terminal +B of the power seat ECU to terminal LFT- to terminal No. 1 of the power seat motor (driver seat rear vertical control) to motor to terminal No. 2 to terminal LFT+ of the ECU to terminal GND to ground.
- Reclining Control Front Operation - Terminal +B of the power seat ECU to terminal RCL+ to terminal No. 2 of the power seat motor (driver seat reclining control) to motor to terminal No. 1 to terminal RCL- of the ECU to terminal GND to ground.
- Reclining Control Down Operation - Terminal +B of the power seat ECU to terminal RCL- to terminal No. 1 of the power seat motor (driver seat reclining control) to motor to terminal No. 2 to terminal RCL+ of the ECU to terminal GND to ground.
- Lumbar Support Control Front Operation - Terminal No. 4 of the power seat control switch (driver seat lumbar support control) to terminal No. 1 to terminal No. 2 of the power seat motor (driver seat lumbar support control) to terminal No. 1 to terminal No. 2 of the power seat control switch (driver seat lumbar support control) to terminal No. 3 to ground.
- Lumbar Support Control Rear Operation - Terminal No. 4 of the power seat control switch (driver seat lumbar support control) to terminal No. 2 to terminal No. 1 of the power seat motor (driver seat lumbar support control) to terminal No. 2 to terminal No. 1 of the power seat control switch (driver seat lumbar support control) to terminal No. 3 to ground.
- Driving Position Memory Function - Each position sensor in the seat detects the number of rotations of the relevant motor (seat movement amount) and inputs it to the ECU. This makes it possible to store and recall the seat position by operating the position memory switch. The driving seat position is stored and recalled through communication control of the body ECU and door ECU etc.
