Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK BUZZER (KEY REMINDER WARNING, SEAT BELT WARNING) 
    1. Check that the all of the warning buzzers sound.
      BUZZERS WARNING SOUND CHECK

      A All buzzers do not sound
      B Key reminder warning buzzer does not sound
      C Seat belt warning buzzer does not sound
      1. B: Go to step 2 
      2. C: Go to step   3 . 
      3. A: CHECK AND REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY 
  2. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSY 
    1. Check voltage.
      1. Remove the combination meter assy with connectors still connected.
      2. Open the driver side door and ignition key still insert the ignition switch.
      3. Measure the voltage between terminal C8-15 of combination meter assy and body ground.

        Standard voltage: 

        COMBINATION METER ASSY TERMINAL STANDARD VOLTAGE

        Ignition switch position Voltage (V)
        Ignition switch is ON position 10 - 14
        Ignition switch is ACC or LOCK position Below 1

    1. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY 
    2. NG: Go to next step. 
  3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSY 
    1. Check driver seat belt warning operation.
      1. Remove the combination meter assy.
      2. Ground the terminal C7-5 of combination meter assy connector.
      3. Check that the seat belt warning buzzer sounds.

        OK: Warning buzzer sound. 

    1. NG: CHECK AND REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY

    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BETWEEN COMBINATION METER ASSY AND AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER) 
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  5. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH 
    1. Check resistance.
      1. Check resistance between terminals 1 and 4 of front seat inner belt assy LH.

        Standard resistance: 

        FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH STANDARD RESISTANCE

        Condition Resistance (Ω)
        Seat belt is fastened 300
        Seat belt is unfastened 1,330
    1. NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH

    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BETWEEN AIRBAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER AND FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH) 
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  7. CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR(BETWEEN FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: CHECK AND REPLACE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
