Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY RH (LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE MOTOR OPERATION) 
    1. Remove the luggage door drive gear assembly RH. See OVERHAUL .
    2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3, and check that the motor tuns clockwise.
    3. Reverse the polarity, check that the motor turns counterclockwise.

    1. NG: REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY RH 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LMR+ AND LMR- OF SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - LUGGAGE DOOR DRIVE MOTOR RH) 
    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY
