Inspection Procedure

1. Check passenger's seat belt warning operation.
   1. Connect the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester to DLC3.
   2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester main switch ON.
   3. Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester.
   4. Check that the passenger's seat belt warning operation.

1. OK: GO TO STEP   5 
2. NG: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Check continuity.
   1. Disconnect the connector of telltale lamp assy.
   2. Check continuity between terminal 2 and 5 on the telltale lamp assy.

   OK: 

   Continuity

1. NG: REPLACE PASSENGER SEAT BELT WARNING LAMP ASSY 
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
2. OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY 

1. Check continuity.
   1. Disconnect the connector of front seat inner belt RH.
   2. Check continuity between terminal 1 and 3 when buckle switch condition as shown in the chart below.

OK:

1. NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY RH 
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Disconnect the separate type front seat cushion pad.
2. Check continuity between terminal 1 and 2 when separate type front seat cushion pad condition as shown in the chart below.

1. NG: REPLACE SEPARATE SEAT TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD 
2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. NG: CHECK AND REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
2. OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSY CENTER
