Inspection Procedure
- DO ACTIVE TEST OF OBD II SCAN TOOL OR LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER
- Check ODO/TRIP meter operation.
- Connect the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester to DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester.
- Check that all segments of ODO/TRIP meter directs in the combination meter by OBD II scan tool or LEXUS hand-held tester.
OK: All segments direct normally.
- NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- Check ODO/TRIP meter operation.
- CHECK TRIP SWITCH
- Operate each switch and check continuity between the individual terminals of the connector as shown in the chart below.

- NG: REPLACE TRIP SWITCH
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BETWEEN ODO/TRIP SWITCH AND COMBINATION METER)
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY
