Seating Parking Brake Shoes & Disc

  1. Depress parking brake pedal with a force of 33 lbs. (15 kg). On LX 470, press parking brake release button and pull on lever with a force of 19.8 lbs. (9 kg).
  2. Drive vehicle at about 31 mph on a safe, level and dry road. Drive vehicle for about 1/4 mile (400 meters).
  3. Repeat  2 2 or 3 times.
  4. Check and adjust parking brake pedal travel. See appropriate procedure under PARKING BRAKE .
