Removal (SC 430)

  1. Turn off ignition and depress brake pedal more than 40 times. Until work is finished, do not turn ignition switch on.
  2. Drain brake fluid.
  3. Remove v-bank cover.
  4. Remove brake master cylinder cover assembly.
  5. Remove instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly No. 1.
  6. Remove brake pedal return spring, clip and push rod pin. See Fig 1.
  7. Remove left side front wheel .
  8. Using special tool (09023-00100), disconnect brake lines from brake master cylinder. Use tags or make a note to identify place to reconnect.
  9. Using special tool (09023-00100) and spanner, disconnect front brake line on left side from flexible hose.
  10. Disconnect brake master cylinder harness connectors and clamp.
  11. Remove nuts and separate brake lines from body.
  12. Remove nuts and pull out brake master cylinder.
