Removal (LS 430)

  1. Remove front wheel.
  2. Check pad thickness and replace pads if they are not within specification. See DISC BRAKE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Remove clip, pin and anti-rattle spring.
  4. Remove brake pads.
  5. On right wheel, remove clamp, clip and bleeder screw cap. Disconnect pad wear indicator assembly from inner pad.
  6. Remove anti-squeal shims from each pad.
  7. On right wheel, check pad wear indicator assembly. See PAD WEAR INDICATOR ASSEMBLY  under testing.
  8. Check disc thickness. See FRONT BRAKE DISC .
  9. Check disc runout. See DISC RUNOUT  under ADJUSTMENTS.
