Installation (LS 430)

  1. Draw out a small amount of brake fluid from reservoir. Press in pistons with an appropriate piston compressor. If piston is difficult to push in, loosen bleeder screw and push in piston while letting some brake fluid escape.
  2. Apply disc brake grease to both sides of inner anti-squeal shims and install on each pad.
  3. On right wheel, connect pad wear indicator to inner pads and install new clip. Install clip lock securely in grooves of pad.
  4. Install 2 pads.
  5. Install anti-rattle spring, pin and clip.
  6. On right wheel, install clamp and bleeder screw cap to caliper. Make sure wire harness does not interfere with caliper, etc.
  7. If bleeder screws were loosened, bleed system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  8. Install front wheel and tighten wheel lugs to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  9. Depress brake pedal several times and check that fluid level is at MAX line.
