Removal & Installation (SC 430)

  1. Remove front wheel.
  2. Drain brake fluid.
  3. Remove union bolt and 2 gaskets from disc brake caliper. Disconnect flexible hose. Hold cylinder slide pin, remove 2 bolts and front caliper. See Fig 1.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten the 2 bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install 2 NEW gaskets and flexible hose with union bolt. Install flexible hose lock securely in lock hole in disc brake cylinder. Tighten union bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Fill reservoir with brake fluid and bleed master cylinder. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  7. Bleed brake line. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  8. Check fluid in reservoir and check for brake fluid leakage.
  9. Install front wheel and tighten lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  10. Install ornament with 10 bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
