Removal & Installation (IS 300)
- Remove union bolt and gasket from caliper. Disconnect flexible hose from caliper. Use a container to catch brake fluid as it drains out. See Fig 1.
- Hold sliding pin and remove 2 installation bolts.
- Remove caliper from torque plate.
- Remove 2 anti-squeal springs and 2 brake pads with 4 anti-squeal shims.
- Remove 4 pad support plates.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten installation bolts and flexible hose to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Fill brake reservoir with brake fluid and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . Check system for leaks.
