Removal & Installation (IS 300)

  1. Remove union bolt and gasket from caliper. Disconnect flexible hose from caliper. Use a container to catch brake fluid as it drains out. See Fig 1.
  2. Hold sliding pin and remove 2 installation bolts.
  3. Remove caliper from torque plate.
  4. Remove 2 anti-squeal springs and 2 brake pads with 4 anti-squeal shims.
  5. Remove 4 pad support plates.
  6. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten installation bolts and flexible hose to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Fill brake reservoir with brake fluid and bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM . Check system for leaks.
