Removal & Installation (ES 300)

  1. Drain brake fluid.
  2. Remove front wheel.
  3. Remove union bolt and gasket from disc brake caliper. Disconnect flexible hose from disc brake caliper. For single piston type, see Fig 1. For twin piston type, see Fig 2.
  4. Remove 2 bolts and disc brake caliper.
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure. Always replace union bolt gasket and flexible hose with NEW parts. Install the flexible hose lock securely in the lock hold of the disc brake caliper. Tighten 2 bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Bleed system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
  7. Check for brake fluid leakage.
  8. Install front wheel and tighten lug nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
