Disassembly (GS 300, GS 430, IS 300 & SC 430)

  1. Remove rear caliper. See REAR BRAKE CALIPER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Using a screwdriver, remove set rings and boots. See Figure.
  3. Prepare a wooden plate to hold pistons.
  4. Place plate between pistons and insert a pad on one side.
    WARNING: Do not place your fingers in front of piston when using compressed air.
  5. Use compressed air to remove pistons alternately from caliper.
  6. Using a screwdriver, remove piston seals from caliper.
