Disassembly & Assembly (RX 300)
- Remove rear caliper. See REAR BRAKE CALIPER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Remove sliding bushing, dust boots and main pin boot.
- Using a screwdriver, remove boot ring and piston boot.
- Put a piece of cloth between piston and caliper.WARNING: Do not place your fingers in front of piston when using compressed air.
- Use compressed air to remove piston from cylinder.
- Using a screwdriver, remove piston seal.
- Remove sliding pins from torque plate. Remove sliding bushing from upper side of sliding pin. Using a screwdriver and hammer, tap out dust boots.
- To assemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Ensure that boots are secured firmly to bushing and caliper grooves.
