Disassembly (RX 300)

  1. Remove master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Mark reservoir hoses with a paint line facing upward. Using pliers, slide 2 clips, and remove reservoir hoses from reservoir.
  3. Remove cap and strainer from reservoir.
  4. Remove set screw and pull out inlet union. Remove 2 grommets.
  5. Using a screwdriver with a taped tip, push in piston and remove straight pins by turning over cylinder body. Pulling straight out, remove pistons and springs by hand.
