Seat Heater Cushion

  1. Heat the thermostat with a light. See Fig 1.
  2. Inspect the seat heater cushion continuity between terminals. See INSPECTING SEAT HEATER CUSHION CONTINUITY  table. If continuity is not as specified, replace the seat cushion pad. See POWER SEAT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
    INSPECTING SEAT HEATER CUSHION CONTINUITY

    Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
    A2 - B1 Constant Continuity
    A1 - A2 Seat Heater Temperature Below 25°C (77°F) Continuity
    B1 - B2 Seat Heater Temperature Above 45°C (113°F) No Continuity
  3. Inspect the seat heater inner cushion and front cushion continuity between terminals. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . See INSPECTING SEAT HEATER INNER CUSHION & FRONT CUSHION CONTINUITY  table. If continuity is not as specified, replace the seatback pad. See POWER SEAT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

    1 - Body Ground Seat Heater Switch ON B+ Voltage
