Main Sending Unit
Disconnect 5-pin main fuel gauge sending unit harness connector. Using DVOM, measure resistance between terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1. Ensure resistance is as specified in each float position. See MAIN FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE table. If resistance is not as specified, replace main fuel gauge sending unit.
