Test No. 21: Shift Position Indicator Abnormal Operation Or Does Not Illuminate
Disconnect instrument cluster harness connectors "A", "B" and "C". Turn ignition on. While moving shifter, measure voltage at harness connector terminals listed. See SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR TERMINAL table. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is present, check light bulb(s). Replace as needed. If bulbs are okay, replace circuit plate and retest. If voltage is not present, check park/neutral position switch and circuits between switch and instrument cluster. Repair as necessary.
